LED poster applications

LED posters stand where a printed poster would hang, but they change content from a phone and need no wall fixing. The table shows where each is used and the type and pitch to start with. Each page goes into the details of one place.

How to choose

Start from the closest viewer. The minimum viewing distance in meters is roughly the pitch in millimeters, so a viewer at 2 m suits P1.86 or P2, and a viewer at 3 m P2.5 or P3.076. The pixel pitch guide has the full table. Then choose the cabinet: see cabinet types explained.

If your project is in a place not listed here, request a quote and describe the place, the closest viewer's distance and the room. We check the type and the pitch for it.

Questions and answers

Which place suits an LED poster?

Places where people stop or pass at 1 to 3 m, such as entrances, lobbies, counters and corridors.

Can the same poster be used in several places?

Yes, if it is a die-cast type that stands on casters.

Do I need a different poster for each application?

The cabinet changes the service and the joining; the pitch changes the picture. Many places use the same type.

Which application needs the brightest poster?

A storefront or entrance in daylight, which suits the outdoor poster from 4500 nit.

Which application needs a wide canvas?

Lobbies, malls and waiting areas, where a 960 poster or a wall of posters helps.

Which application needs a poster that travels?

Events and trade shows.

Where do touched screens fit?

At checkouts and wiped points, look at the acrylic glass screen.

Where do I start?

With the closest viewer's distance, then the pitch, then the cabinet.
