Overall height and depth of the die-cast 640
The die-cast LED poster, 640 mm stands on a base with casters. With the base it is typically about 2045 mm (80.5 in, or 6 ft 8.5 in) high, about 125 mm more than the screen, and its cabinet is typically about 46 mm (1.8 in) deep. These are typical values for this type only; the exact figures of your order are in the quotation. For other types we do not publish a height with base, so state your ceiling height in the request and we check it.
Wall widths
In a cascade the widths add up. Pitches never mix in one wall.
| Posters | 640 types | 960 types |
|---|---|---|
| 2 | 1280 mm (50.4 in) | 1920 mm (75.6 in) |
| 3 | 1920 mm (75.6 in) | 2880 mm (113.4 in) |
| 4 | 2560 mm (100.8 in) | 3840 mm (151.2 in) |
Two open tri-fold posters make 2560 × 1920 mm and three make 3840 × 1920 mm. Up to 8 die-cast 640 posters at P2.5 can run on one NovaStar controller, which is 5120 × 1920 mm (201.6 in). See the cascade guide.
Total screen size and resolution for 1 to 6 posters side by side, at the same pitch. How many posters one controller can drive depends on the pitch; we calculate it for your layout.

Space behind posters with rear service
Only one indoor poster has rear service: the aluminium profile cabinet of the Indoor 640, with a rear door and a folding rear stand. Leave roughly 30 to 50 cm behind it so the door can open, or roll it away from the wall on its casters. Die-cast posters, 640 and 960, are front service only and can stand flat against a wall. Outdoor posters are serviced from the rear. The difference is explained in cabinet types explained.
Space in front
The pitch sets how close people can stand: the minimum viewing distance in meters is about the pitch in millimeters. P2.5 needs viewers from 2.5 m, P1.86 about 2 m. Keep that clear space in your floor plan; the pitch guide has the table.
| Nearest viewer | Pixel pitch | Model |
|---|---|---|
| 1 m | 1.25 mm | P1.25 |
| 1.5 m | 1.538 mm | P1.538 |
| 2 m | 1.86 mm or 2 mm | P1.86 or P2 |
| From 2.5 m | 2.5 mm | P2.5 |
| 3 m | 3.076 mm | P3 |
Moving the poster
