When an indoor LED poster should stay indoors
An indoor LED poster looks like a poster that could stand anywhere. It cannot. It is made for indoor use, and the outdoor poster exists for the places where it is not enough. This article explains the difference and gives a simple way to decide for entrances, windows and terraces.

What indoor means
Our indoor posters are for indoor use only, with brightness from 500 nit, set for normal indoor lighting. The outdoor poster is built for outdoor use, with brightness from 4500 nit. The two share the screen size, 640 × 1920 mm, and the module idea, but they are different products. See the brightness guide.
Do not put an indoor poster in the weather
Do not stand an indoor poster outside, under an awning or on a terrace, even for a day. It is made for indoor use, not for outdoor conditions. If you need a poster at the entrance, choose the outdoor poster from the start.
Entrances and lobbies
A lobby just inside the door is indoors, and an indoor poster fits. An open entrance is different: if the place is exposed to the outside, look at the outdoor LED poster, 640 mm. Tell us how exposed the site is and how it will be mounted and we advise in the quotation.
Windows
Behind glass and out of direct sun, an indoor poster is used. If the sun hits the screen, see indoor poster behind a store window and consider the outdoor poster.
Events
For an outdoor event, order the outdoor poster, or keep the indoor poster in a hall or a tent only if you are sure it stays within indoor conditions. The tri-fold and the die-cast 640 are for indoor events.
One site, two zones
A store can have a lobby and an entrance, and use one of each: an indoor poster inside and an outdoor poster at the door. Both have a 640 × 1920 mm screen, so content prepared for one can be adapted for the other. The pitches differ, indoor P1.25 to P3.076 and outdoor P2 to P5, so check the pixel size of each.
How to decide
Ask where the poster stands in the worst hour of the year. If that place is indoors, the indoor poster fits. If it is outside or exposed, choose the outdoor poster and say so in the request.
