Plugs and voltage: a checklist before you order
The plug is the smallest part of an LED poster order, and the easiest to get wrong. You do not have to solve it yourself: tell us your country and we match the power cord. This checklist shows what to find out first.
- Types A to N
- Voltage
- Tell us your country
1. Your country and the socket
Write down the country where the posters will stand. Look at the pins of a wall socket in the room: two flat pins is type A, two round pins is type C, E or F, three rectangular pins is type G, and so on. The power plug guide lists types A to N.
2. The mains voltage
Two countries can use the same plug at different voltages: type A is 120 V in North America and 100 V in Japan. A plug that fits the socket does not mean the device suits the mains. Give us the voltage you have and we confirm the power supply and the cord in the quotation.
3. Several markets
If the posters go to several countries, list the countries and the quantity for each. Each destination gets the cord for its socket, and the shipment is quoted with the packing list.
4. Walls of posters
Tell us the number of posters in the wall. Power is planned for the whole layout, so check the sockets near the wall and the distance to the posters before you place the order.
Common mistakes
Assuming that one plug fits a whole region, when many countries use more than one type. Reading the plug from a laptop charger, which can differ from the wall socket. Forgetting that the voltage differs between countries with the same plug. Forgetting a second destination. A look at the real socket and a photo avoid all four.
5. What to put in the request
The country, the socket type if you know it, the voltage, the quantity and the place of the posters. If you do not know the plug, send a photo of the socket. See how to order for the other items of the request.
6. Check on arrival
When the posters arrive, check that the plug fits your socket before you unpack the rest. The packing list for your order states the weight and size of every piece.
Questions and answers

No. Tell us your country and local requirements and we match the cord.
Where do I find my plug type?
Look at the pins and compare with the guide, or send us a photo of the socket.
Does the same plug mean the same voltage?
No. Type A is 120 V in North America and 100 V in Japan.
What is the voltage in the United States?
Typically 120 V at 60 Hz, with plug types A and B.
Can one order go to two countries?
Yes. List the countries and the quantity for each in the request.
Should I check the sockets for a wall?

What if my building has older sockets?
Values are typical for the country, and some buildings differ, so confirm your own socket and tell us.
Is the voltage on the poster adjustable?
We confirm the power supply for your voltage in the quotation, so state your voltage with the request.
