LED poster or LCD kiosk: what is different?
An LED poster looks like a digital sign on a stand, so it is often compared with an LCD kiosk. They are different products. The picture of an LED poster is formed by LED modules themselves, with no LCD panel behind glass.
- Direct-view LED
- Not a touchscreen

How the picture is made
An LED poster is direct-view LED: each pixel is a group of LEDs on the module. An LCD kiosk shows its picture on an LCD panel. A poster is a complete unit: cabinet, modules, player, receiving cards and power supplies.
What an LED poster offers
A portrait screen of 640, 960 or 1280 mm by 1920 mm. A choice of pixel pitch from P1.25 to P3.076 indoors. No wall mounting, no separate media box. Content from a phone, a network or a USB stick. Several posters can be chained into a wider screen. Outdoor posters start at 4500 nit.
What an LED poster is not
It is not a touchscreen. Even the acrylic glass screen, made for touches and light knocks, does not use the touch to control the content. If your job needs interaction, an LCD touch kiosk is a different product.
How to decide
Choose by the job: the viewing distance, the size of the screen, the brightness, and whether you need touch. For viewing distances, read the pixel pitch guide. Browse the LED posters.
